I wish I couldn't read.
Nothing good has stemmed from it.
I wish I didn't read 6,
When the alarm clock was
Clearly yelling 9.
I know I shouldn't read into
A simple 'hello', or an
Accidental, meaningless graze.
And I wish I wouldn't read
Every (every!) man with the same,
Foggy glasses.
That is why I
Cynically laugh to myself
When teachers preach that
'Reading brings new knowledge'.
Surely I am not the only one
Who has fallen through the cracks.

Okay, "And I wish I wouldn't read/ Every (every!) man with the same/ Foggy glasses" is darn good. Damn good, even.
