A Night out of my League

Alright, I know I am straying more and more from the usual poetry entry, but this has to be shared.

I went on a date last night (that's exciting in-and-of-itself) in Salt Lake. We went to Cucina Toscana. I am still thinking about it. It's this Italian place that is consistently rated as one of the top 25 places to eat in the country. The Country. Here's a play-by-play of the evening.

-Someone valet parks my car.
-We get inside and someone takes our coats off and checks them (I've never had someone take off my own coat with me in it)
-I sat against the wall, so the waiter beats us to our table and moves the whole table out of the way.
- When asked what I wanted to drink, I said water. The waiter then asked me "what kind of water would you like?" (There were 8 options)
-Best bread I have ever ever ever tasted.
- The entire menu was in Italian. I ordered the duck which was bathed in an apple, fig and grape sauce. Unreal.
-My meal was 36 dollars.
-3 minutes after ordering, the waiter came to our table pronouncing his sincere apologies about the wait and gave us a plate of bruscetta.
-Jeff ordered the veal, which was equally divine.
-Once we were done eating, a waiter cleared our plates and took out a brush-like utensil to get rid of all the crumbs.
-The owner of the restaurant (somewhat of a celebrity) smiled at us and (I swear) winked at me.
-Once we got up to leave, the manager came up to us and shook Jeff's hand and kissed mine, thanking us for coming.
-The coat checker got our coats and put them on us.
-Right as we walked outside, my car pulled up right in front of us.
-The valet parker had turned on the heat so that my car was perfectly warm.

I am sure I am forgetting something. It was so magical and I felt like a queen. You all should make a point to go to this restaurant if you haven't already.

Cucina Toscana is the bomb! Sad thing is, the food was even better when it was the resturant right before it became what it is now, can you believe that? But I think the service is better now and that makes it better. How fun!

Okay, that's worth a visit to SLC. Now if I can only convince Adam....

I haven't eaten there in a while--should go back, for sure, on the evidence of this date. Is it rude to ask--is this guy a keeper? That sounds like a really good date. Also, that manager is a charmer, isn't he.
